The solemn event in honor of the 141st anniversary of the establishment of a single penitentiary department in our country and the Day of the Penitentiary Service was held in the Kazan cultural and leisure complex named after I.V. Lenin. Employees and veterans of units and the FSIN Directorate of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan attended the holiday.

The leaders of the “Yardem” National Islamic Charitable Foundation, Ildar Bayazitov, Ilgam Ismagilov, and Malika Gelmutdinova, as members of the Public Supervisory Commission (PMC) of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited correctional institutions.

The Advisory Council will help those people who are in difficult situations - assist people with visual impairments, hearing and people with disabilities of various categories and their families with assistance in providing social assistance, improve their living conditions and (or) expand their ability to independently provide their necessities of life through the provision of constant, periodic assistance.

In late February - early March 2020, the leaders of the Yardem National Islamic Charitable Fund, as members of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited PKU IK-2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.

The next issue of the “Yardem” Foundation magazine tells about the events of February and most of the issue is devoted to rehabilitation courses for the blind and visually impaired at the center of the foundation. The first rehabilitation courses this year under the project of the See and Hear with Heart Foundation gathered people with visual impairments from 14 regions of Russia. The meeting was attended by the leaders of the NIBF "Yardem" Ildar Rafkatovich Bayazitov, Ilgam Fathirakhmanovich Ismagilov, Malika Rafkatovna Gelmutdinova.

Each rehabilitant, arriving at the “Yardem” Foundation Rehabilitation Center, has a specific goal: someone wants to learn how to read the Koran in Braille, learn the basics of Islam, the Koran in flat print and Arabic, Braille, learn how to work on a computer, get acquainted with literature in braille, etc. And each time you are convinced that the rehabilitants achieve their goal. And today, wards of the foundation gladly shared that they took from the courses what they aspired with all their heart. Rehabilitants noted that the teachers not only provided knowledge and explained everything intelligibly, but at the same time they were friends and psychologists.

Do not count your chickens before they are hatched. So, the rehabilitation courses for the “See and Hear by Heart” project, organized by the “Yardem” Foundation, are coming to an end. It's time to take stock. Today we will talk about our brailists, who studied Russian braille for a month. In this group there were both blind and visually impaired. The latter are slowly setting eyesight. And the deterioration of vision for them was clearly not a joyful event.
